As a Distribution Supervisor you provide an effective distribution service to the business and its customers by ensuring compliance with transport and HSE regulations.

Role Details:

• Annual salary of up to €68,000 dependent on skills and experience. Plus an annual on target bonus of up to 5%
• Role based: Donabate, Ireland
• Contract type: Permanent
• Annual leave of 25 days per annum plus bank holidays and opportunity to buy an additional 5 days each year.

In this role as Distribution Supervisor, you will be required to

• Manage day-to-day distribution operations, ensuring safety and efficiency through compliance with procedures and current legislation and regulations.
• Provide advice, quotations, site inspections and route surveys, maintaining accurate departmental records and statistics.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distribution providers, understanding their capabilities and ensuring adherence to commercial policies and rate tables.
• Support project management of distribution activities, including preparation of paperwork for site inspection meetings.
• Act as the first point of contact for escalations and lead the distribution team to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of initiatives that achieve high standards of safety, efficiency and service delivery.
• Coordinates customs compliance, SAP transactions, and transport records to ensure accurate, auditable movement of fleet, materials, and assets.

Our Ideal Candidate as Distribution Supervisor

• Educated to degree level, or equivalent work experience.
• Technical knowledge gained through qualification or extensive practical experience in distribution and logistics.
• Qualified in Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) with awareness of lorry loaders, vehicle configurations and knowledge of transport law and HSE legislation.
• Experience supporting projects with the ability to undertake site inspections and prepare reports.
• Competent user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Experience managing haulers, suppliers and transport costs.
• Ability to balance hands-on delivery with team leadership and process improvement
• Recognised health and safety qualification or training, such as IOSH managing safety or equivalent
