About the Opportunity
This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp.
This is a full-time, on-site position located at any FirstEnergy location in NJ.
FirstEnergy takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. In addition, your actual base salary will depend on various factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience.
The pay range for certain locations, including the state of New Jersey, include a 20% differential to account for an increased cost of living, making the pay range for NJ $82,110 - $167,760.
The Distribution Program Manager position reports to the Manager of Major Regulatory Filings. This role supports the planning, coordination, organization, and execution of state electric distribution rate cases across FirstEnergy’s footprint in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, West Virginia, and Maryland.
This role blends rate case strategic and analytical support with project management responsibilities, to ensure filings are delivered on time and meet regulatory requirements. The role acts as a central coordinator and strategic planner across Rates, Legal, and Operations to manage timelines, work plans, track deliverables, and support successful outcomes.
Responsibilities
Project Management Experience Required
Work closely with external and internal stakeholders, including legal, rates, operations, finance, load forecasting, treasury, accounting, HR, etc., to develop timelines, work plans, reports, and track open action items and deliverables over the lifespan of the case.
Manage and coordinate kick-off meetings, core team meetings, trainings, discovery meetings, stand ups, etc., managing action items and keeping the team on task.
Manage onboarding of external counsel or expert witnesses among state rates and legal teams required to support rate cases.
Assist with developing appropriate processes, procedures, and flowcharts to support cross-collaborative rate case support across the states.
Assist with developing appropriate presentations, articles, letters/emails, etc. for leadership, communications, and investor relations.
Support automating and integrating rate case tools and documentation across all states.
