Job Description

The Distribution Oversight team is part of the Commercial division at Euroclear Bank and is responsible for ensuring that fund distributors contracting with Euroclear Bank comply with internal fund distribution policies and procedures. The Distribution Oversight team together with the KYC team act as the first line of defence to protect Euroclear against reputational and regulatory risk.

The team has a central intermediary function, sitting at the core of the distribution oversight framework and supporting the strength and competitiveness of Euroclear’s network of distributors.

Role:

We are seeking a Distribution Oversight officer to support the implementation of the distribution oversight framework for existing and future fund distributors. This role will play a key part in ensuring that fund distributors meet Euroclear’s internal requirements throughout the business relationship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out initial and on-going due diligence on fund distributors in line with the distribution oversight framework;
  • Monitor and record relevant information impacting fund distributors’ risk profile;
  • Follow up with fund distributors on queries pertaining to the performance of due diligence and risk assessment;
  • Escalate to relevant stakeholders the cases requiring further scrutiny and investigation;
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g. Distribution Oversight Manager, Compliance, AML, Client Service, etc.) to ensure proper communication of information on fund distributors’ profile as required;
  • Monitor the distribution activity on an ongoing basis through KPIs (i.e. key performance indicators) and report them to Fund Management Companies and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • First professional experience in finance, particularly financial crime and the fund industry;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment;
  • Attention to detail, strong analytical and research skills;
  • Analytical mind with ability to challenge the status quo;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Knowledge of the main regulations within investment services and the fund industry (e.g. MIFID, UCITS, AIFMD);
  • Fluent in English.
