Provides day-to-day leadership, supports, and prioritizes the activities of assigned staff; plans and schedules workflow. Ensures equipment and facilities are properly maintained, including programming and troubleshooting. Participates in continuous improvement activities in support of goals and objectives. Ensures a safe work environment is maintained at all times and observes safety regulations. Manages daily operational performance, monitors KPI’s, sets productivity standards and continuous improvement objectives. Mentors staff to continuously improve each employee’s skill sets and experience. Shares accountability for employee morale, safety, quality, delivery and cost performance of the department. May supervise and coordinate activities of contractors, suppliers, and vendors.
