Job Description

Amazon MGM Studios seeks a Theatrical Distribution Manager for Spain who will be responsible for implementation of the strategy set by Head of Spain Theatrical Distribution. The position manages Operations, Analytics, Systems and keeps a close relationship with the Finance team. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, the role translates sales strategy into effective release execution—driving screen count, showtimes placement and market coverage to maximize box office performance for each title on the Amazon MGM Studios slate. This position reports to the Head of Spain Theatrical Distribution.

Key job responsibilities
- Assist in executing local sales strategies across theatrical releases that align with commercial objectives
- Support local deal negotiations under the guidance of the Head of Spain Theatrical Distribution
- Assist with weekly session planning and negotiations with local exhibitors to secure optimal terms, holdovers, and maximize screen count across territories
- Track and compile local competitor release date calendar and monitor and report competitor activity
- Research market trends and comparable title performance in Spain
- Conduct competitive analysis and release date viability assessments to ensure optimal market positioning for Amazon MGM titles in Spain
- Assist in creating revenue forecasts and territory strategies for all titles in Spain
- Undertake comprehensive box office performance analysis across all local theatrical releases, tracking opening weekend and lifetime forecasts.
- Develop and maintain box office, admissions and revenue forecasts for the theatrical marketplace in Spain
- Manage daily box office reporting for local Amazon MGM bookings in internal tracking systems
- Prepare detailed film performance and industry analysis reports
- Prepare and deliver local sales materials, industry communications and trade screening presentations
- Support the set-up, UAT and implementation of the Sales and Booking system
- Maintain and monitor accurate records of sales, terms and payments for Spain, in conjunction with the Finance department.

Basic Qualifications


- Proven experience in theatrical distribution, sales, or analysis positions in the entertainment industry
- Demonstrated ability to maintain exhibitor relationships and negotiate effectively
- Confidence working with spreadsheets, databases and sales tools and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficiency in business intelligence tools (Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Comscore, Numero,Showtimes)
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

- Deep knowledge of the Spain theatrical exhibition market dynamics and trends
- Familiarity with film industry economics, revenue models, and box office analytics
- Understanding of theatrical windows and circuit development strategies
- Experience representing a studio at industry events and conventions
- Problem-solving mindset with ability to adapt to change
