Global Product Distribution is part of the TMG (Technology Manufacturing Group) organization. Global Product Distribution is responsible for receiving all finished goods from TI manufacturing sites, holding the output as inventory and processing orders for TI customers.

The Mexico Distribution Manager will be focused on the timely execution of order processing for inbound, storage and outbound material flows, as well as maintaining inventory control through a robust cycle count process. The daily process execution is carried out by and under the direct responsibility of the existing 3rd Party Logistics Service Provider (LSP/3PL). The Distribution Manager will ultimately be accountable for an efficient, timely and flawless process execution. This role requires a close collaboration with TI external customers (such as contract manufacturers in Mexico), TI Customer Operations team, TI Global Transportation, TI Global Trade Compliance and TI Security. It will also require regular interactions with the TI manufacturing site located in Aguascalientes, Mexico.

  • Grow the sales opportunities in Mexico through PDC benchmark execution and become the recognized go-to person for this function

Responsibilities:

  • Manage an operation of approximately 70 people (Direct day-to-day management is under the 3PL leadership).
  • Be the cross organizational interface between Transportation, Trade Compliance, Customer Operations, Finance and other Product Distribution locations.
  • Use and develop analytic tools and metrics to monitor the operational performance of the PDC.
  • Ensure compliance of the Mexico PDC operations with TI cycle count requirements and drive inventory slotting strategy in the warehouse.
  • Create and maintain relevant reporting and metrics that track the above objectives and publish reports to stakeholders at varying levels.
  • Determine opportunities for improvement and potential optimizations inside the operation and share with other Global Distribution organizations as part of a continuous optimization roadmap.
  • Participate in Global organizational initiatives that also feed the continuous optimization roadmap.
  • Provide insights to the Mexico 3PL team on areas to improve or do differently.

Required Skills/Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or similar preferred.
  • Comprehensiveknowledge of Product Distribution industry activities, logistics and procurement.
  • Experience with Mexico import/export activities and IMMEX program.
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse environment, preferably for a technology company.
  • Supply chain certification, such as ASCM/APICS or CSCMP, is a plus for the position.
  • Pronounced interpersonal and communication skills, Spanish language native and fluent in English.
  • Adaptability to work in an international team that is spread across the globe.
  • Strong analytical skills and savvy with reporting tools (Excel, Spotfire, Business Objects…) and experienced with SAP as the ERP/warehouse management systems.

Special work environment:

This position requires the PDC manager to be on the PDC floor most of the time to monitor warehouse activities inside the warehouse, including possible onsite support outside of regular working hours (for instance during weekends). Onsite presence during quarter-end periods (ex: Mar-31, Jun-30, Sep-30, Dec-31) is also required to ensure compliance with TI financial and accounting processes.

Frequent conference calls with global team members, stakeholders and suppliers are required. Some international travels may be required to support PDC projects and to interface with other PDCs located in other countries (ex: U.S. or Asia). Some domestic travels are required to visit suppliers near the warehouse and the TI manufacturing site located in Aguascalientes.

Valid passport and valid driver license required.
