Distribution Line Locator

Fernandina Beach, FL

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must have a valid Class “E” Florida Driver’s License and be capable of driving Company vehicles.
2. Must participate in Company training programs.
3. Must be able to read street maps and travel to dispatched locations and utilize mobile telephone, tablet and or computer.
4. Must be capable and willing to obtain certification to render first aid, and artificial resuscitation, etc.
5. Must be able to write, print and make clear legible drawings and or written records of work operations.
6. Must be in good physical condition, have adequate hearing, eyesight and sense of smell.
7. Must be able to read at a normal comprehensive level and be able to read distribution drawing,maps and records.
8. Must possess tact and suitable personality for customer contact.
9. Must be willing and able to work overtime as required.
10. Must be capable to identify meters, regulators, tanks and other aboveground Company facilities.
11. Must be capable of using all types of equipment and instruments to accurately locate and identify Company subsurface structures.
12. Must be capable to take basic cathodic protection readings.
13. Must become familiar with Company’s policies, practices and procedures.
14. Must become familiar with Federal, State and Local Rules and Regulations applicable to this position.
15. Must be able to pass the HM-126F requirements associated with this position.
16. Must be able to pass all assigned Operator Qualification tests.
17. Must be able to perform leak surveys, however, the primary role of the Distribution Line Locator is to do line locates.
