Distribution Development Manager

As a Distribution Development Manager, you play a pivotal role in identifying and nurturing Seed Professionals (SeedPros) who align with Channel’s future vision of agriculture. Your mission is to develop relationships and provide support for key current SeedPros, ensuring the Channel brand executes on the pillars of Leading-Edge Solutions, Connected to You, and Next-Level Experience. You will coordinate regional-based SeedPro events and invest in a team of elite SeedPros, contributing to a robust Channel Distribution network.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver the best experience to Channel growers by hiring and developing elite seed professionals;
  • Collaborate with sales and distribution teams to create and execute the Channel distribution plan;
  • Gather business intelligence to align and develop area plans;
  • Identify, recruit, and prioritize areas needing increased Channel distribution;
  • Evaluate and qualify the current SeedPro network;
  • Work with local teams on all phases of the recruitment process;
  • Qualify new SeedPros through an interview process;
  • Support SeedPro compensation programs within the assigned area;
  • Strengthen business relationships between Channel and SeedPros;
  • Lead regional SeedPro councils and brand experience events;
  • Develop and support a cohesive onboarding process for new SeedPros;
  • Coordinate with the Channel Distribution Strategy team to elevate the Channel Distribution network's strength.

WHO YOU ARE:

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree;
  • Demonstrated sales management by leading or influencing sales teams;
  • Ability to empower, develop, and coach a team in a sales environment;
  • High degree of problem resolution and strong conflict management skills;
  • Ability to source, screen, and select qualified sales professionals;
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally to create business plans and implement strategies;
  • Ability to create a diverse and inclusive environment;
  • Recruiting, training, and outreach experience strongly desired;
  • Account management experience strongly desired;
  • Event planning and coordination strongly desired;
  • Skills and knowledge in selling the value of products;
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in the business;
  • High integrity and accountability;
  • Valid Driver's Licsense;
  • Ability to travel up to 40%;
  • Ability to influence and lead without authority.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of sales experience.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $118,960.00 - $178,440.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
