Job Summary:

The Distribution Coordinator supervises and has administrative responsibility and accountability for human and material resources in support of all aspects of the Central Distribution Department.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Monitors and maintains inventory in Central Distribution. Responsible for the proper storage of supplies for stock, adheres to any special handling instructions, ensures locations and quantities on hand are correct. Maintains a clean and orderly supply room. Manages personnel including but not limited to training, evaluating, assigning daily work activity and weekly work schedules. Monitors and maintains the inventory, distribution, and pick-up of Code, Disaster and Isolation Carts. Ensures Code Carts are built and stocked to specification, assists in training staff on code cart builds, and manages inventory of code cart supplies. As requested by management, supervises and/or participates in the receiving process for all incoming supplies and equipment. This would include receipt, distribution as needed, moving inventory to the proper locations and inventory put up. Supervises and maintains the distribution of medical supplies and equipment to the Health System. Ensures PARs are appropriately stocked, free of expired items and left clean by CD personnel. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Required Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma / GED General or Associates Other / Related Field-Preferred

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):

All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

Additional License(s) and Certification(s):

Required Minimum Experience:

Minimum 3 years inventory/shipping and receiving. Required or Minimum 5 years hospital supply distribution. Preferred

Required Minimum Skills:

Good communication (written and verbal) Self-starter Excellent time management Solid math skills Microsoft Office suite
