Sally Beauty Holdings – Distribution Center
Location: 4309 Janitrol Rd., Columbus, OH 43228

The ideal candidate has warehouse leadership experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to coach and motivate associates while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and dependability.

Schedule

Monday – Thursday | 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM

  • Full-Time
  • Four 10-hour shifts
  • Three days off every week

The Warehouse Lead coordinates workflow and supports daily operations within an assigned department, including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, inventory control, e-commerce fulfillment, returns, and loading operations.

This position serves as a working lead by providing direction, support, and training to warehouse associates while continuing to perform operational tasks. The Warehouse Lead helps ensure daily production goals are met while maintaining safety, quality, and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily warehouse operations within assigned department
  • Monitor workflow and adjust priorities to meet productivity goals
  • Direct and support warehouse associates throughout the shift
  • Communicate department performance and operational challenges to leadership
  • Ensure daily workload is completed accurately and on schedule
  • Assist with training, onboarding, and coaching associates
  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Perform warehouse functions including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, loading, replenishment, and inventory activities
  • Utilize RF scanners, warehouse management systems, and related technology
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and support cycle counting activities
  • Investigate and resolve operational issues and shipping discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Maintain organized work areas and accurate operational records

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or related experience
  • Previous experience serving as a lead, trainer, mentor, or team leader
  • Experience working in a fast-paced distribution center environment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet productivity goals
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Demonstrated reliability and dependability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Distribution center leadership experience
  • Shipping and receiving experience
  • Inventory Control experience
  • Order Fulfillment experience
  • Forklift or Lift Truck experience
  • Experience training or coaching employees
  • Experience supporting high-volume warehouse operations

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move products weighing up to 55 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and twisting
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders as needed
  • Ability to perform warehouse duties for up to 10-hour shifts

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced distribution center environment
  • Temperature variations ranging from approximately 25°F to 105°F
  • Frequent movement throughout warehouse operations
  • Use of RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts, and warehouse equipment
  • Exposure to normal warehouse noise and activity
