Job Description

A Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily activities within a warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and safety. They lead a team of warehouse workers, track inventory levels, and maintain a well-organized and clean warehouse environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of warehouse employees, including hiring, training, disciplinary action, and performance evaluation.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to warehouse staff and ensure they are completed efficiently.
  • Promote a positive working atmosphere and resolve any conflicts that may arise within the team.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliation.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Implement and maintain a first-in, first-out (FIFO) inventory system where applicable.
  • Oversee the receiving process, ensuring that shipments are accurately checked, documented, and properly stored.
  • Inspect incoming goods for quality and report any discrepancies or damages to appropriate personnel.
  • Manage the efficient picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders.
  • Ensure orders are accurately assembled, labeled, and dispatched in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with the transportation department for outbound shipments.
  • Ensuring production paperwork is accurate and product meets quality standards.
  • Using lean principles to increase production standards.
  • Daily planning and coordinating of production schedule.
  • Working with other departments on projects and deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse layout to optimize space utilization.
  • Implement safety procedures and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Manage the proper storage of goods to prevent damage or spoilage.
  • Generate regular reports on inventory levels, order fulfillment, and warehouse performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock movements, returns, and damaged goods.
  • Assist in the development of warehouse-related policies and procedures.
  • Utilize warehouse management software and technology to optimize processes.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance and functioning of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1+ Years of Experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role
  • 3+ Years of Experience in a Warehouse or distribution center role



Education Requirements:

  • Highschool Graduate or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
