REPORTS TO: SR. DC OPERATIONS MANAGER

STATUS: EXEMPT

SCHEDULE: Tuesday – Friday, 6:00pm – 4:30am

The Distribution Center Manager is responsible for leading daily distribution center operations to ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient flow of product through the facility. This role drives operational performance through effective leadership, data-driven decision making, process discipline, and continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operations Leadership

  • Lead and support daily distribution center operations to ensure productivity, accuracy, service, and safety objectives are achieved.
  • Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, throughput, and overall execution.
  • Identify, research, and resolve operational issues that impact service, productivity, inventory accuracy, or customer experience.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all functional areas within the distribution center to provide operational support and leadership coverage when required.
  • Partner with departmental leaders to ensure consistent execution of processes and company standards.

Systems, Inventory & Process Management

  • Ensure the accurate and timely collection, maintenance, and reporting of operational data within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Partner with WMS administrators and support teams to optimize system utilization and improve operational processes.
  • Analyze operational data, trends, and metrics to support decision-making and drive performance improvements.
  • Develop, document, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures for distribution center operations.
  • Support inventory accuracy initiatives and ensure compliance with system and process requirements.

Performance Management

  • Establish, monitor, and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, labor utilization, service levels, and safety.
  • Prepare and present operational performance reporting to site leadership on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Communicate business updates, operational challenges, and improvement opportunities in a clear and professional manner.

Safety & Compliance

  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment through training, coaching, policy adherence, and continuous safety awareness.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, integrity, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in distribution, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other operational software platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret operational data and use metrics to drive performance improvements.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing business needs.

Preferred

  • Experience with ERP, OMS, labor management, or inventory management systems.
  • Experience developing operational procedures and performance metrics.
  • Leadership experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment.
  • Continuous improvement, Lean, or process optimization experience.
