Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate opening for a Distribution Center Load Planner. This role will be supporting the load planning functions for both Perris, CA and Moreno Valley locations.

Responsibilities

As a Load Planner, you will:

  • Plan and coordinate daily truckload shipments into Ferguson distribution centers in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to improve transportation processes, service levels, and overall costs.
  • Utilize transportation and logistics systems to tender freight to Ferguson’s carrier partners in compliance with routing guides.
  • Communicate transportation delays and service disruptions resulting from system issues, weather events, or other operational challenges that impact distribution centers and customers
  • Review, evaluate, and help improve transportation procedures and operational processes in partnership with management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient execution of transportation plans.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent transportation, logistics, route planning, or related industry experience will also be considered.
  • Previous route planning, transportation coordination, or delivery driver experience required.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with customers.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to interpret and apply processes, procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook; working knowledge of Word and Access preferred.
  • Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to navigate changing priorities and business needs.

Pay Range:

$15.00 - $37.24

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.

Ferguson complies with all wage regulations. The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
