Ferguson is seeking a dynamic and people-focused Human Resources Generalist to join our team during the launch of our new Distribution Center in Concord, North Carolina This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping the culture, employee experience, and people strategy of a brand-new operation from day one.

This onsite role supports approximately 90 hourly associates and 6 exempt leaders and serves as a trusted advisor to employees and leadership alike. You will partner closely with operational leaders to attract, develop, engage, and retain top talent while ensuring consistent and compliant HR practices. From workforce planning and onboarding to leadership coaching and employee relations, you'll help establish the foundation for a thriving and high-performing distribution center.

Responsibilities:

  • Help build and foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture during the launch and growth of a new distribution center.

  • Serve as a trusted HR partner to associates and leaders by providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, talent development, and policy interpretation.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance HR processes, programs, and policies while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Analyze workforce data and prepare reports that provide meaningful insights to support business decisions.

  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs for leaders and associates on HR policies, leadership skills, compliance, and employee development.

  • Partner with operational leadership on staffing strategies, workforce planning, onboarding initiatives, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness.

  • Stay current on employment laws and regulations, ensuring policies and practices remain compliant and aligned with business needs.

  • Support audits, compliance initiatives, and HR-related reporting while partnering with internal teams to drive process excellence.

  • Champion associate engagement initiatives that strengthen retention, morale, communication, and overall employee experience.

  • Support change management efforts associated with a growing and evolving distribution operation.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Minimum of two years of Human Resources experience.

  • Strong business acumen combined with a commitment to compliance, ethics, and sound decision-making.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to influence and partner effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Effective project management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

$4,766.67 - $7,625.00

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
