Location: Cheshire, CT

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

What You Will Do

We are currently seeking a DC Associate candidate who will be responsible for a wide range of physically demanding warehouse functions, including shipping, receiving, and picking and packing products from small parts to master cartons, by hand, pallet jack, and forklift. Responsibilities include processing shipments via Microsoft Windows-based shipping software, as well as shipping documents, including bills of lading.

Responsibilities

  • Picking and packing pallet LTL shipments.
  • Picking and packing small package orders, including UPS, FedEx, and USPS shipments.
  • Receiving and unloading containers, then stacking and palletizing cartons.
  • Cycle counting inventory.
  • Assisting customers with pickup orders.
  • General warehouse functions as needed, including but not limited to cleaning,
  • organizing, and replenishing product locations.
  • Demonstrating collaboration with employees and management on responsibilities,
  • projects, issues, and opportunities utilizing company tools with a transparent approach.
  • Comprehensively maintaining documented systems, processes, and training videos.

What We Are Looking For

  • 1+ year of warehouse experience or equivalent work experience is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft programs, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Forklift certification, or the ability to become certified once hired.
  • Experience operating electric and non-electric pallet jacks.
  • Comfortable climbing staircase ladders up to 12 feet.
  • Proficiency in basic math.
  • Strong memory and attention to detail, with a supportive approach, strong work ethic, and personable demeanor.
  • Self-starter with the ability to complete tasks with and without direct supervision.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with employees, customers, and suppliers.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
  • Ability to support and coordinate work efforts with other employees, locations, and leadership.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. without assistance, using proper lifting techniques and/or with the assistance of a pallet jack.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Comfortable working in various temperatures.
