The School of Science at Constructor University invites applications from interested candidates for the following position, to be filled ideally by 01.08.2026:

Distinguished Lecturer in Physics (m/f/d)

(full time; 38.5 hrs./week; limited to 2 years)

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conducting and organizing physics laboratory courses for undergraduate students in their 1st and 2nd semesters.

  • Involvement in teaching Bachelor level courses such as Advanced Physics Lab I & II, Atoms and Molecules, and Modern Physics.

  • Supervising, instructing, and evaluating students as part of the academic curriculum.

  • Contributing to the further development of curricula for Bachelor and Master degree programs.

  • Advising students (also as part of regular office hours).

  • Oversight and management of examinations and supervision of theses in Bachelor and Master programs and doctoral projects.

  • Consistently seeking to improve the quality of teaching by seeking and acting on regular feedback.

  • Positively representing Constructor University in the scientific and public communities.

  • Development and innovative use of teaching technologies to support exceptional teaching and learning.

Your Qualifications:

  • PhD in Physics

  • Experience and success in teaching in the context of international and diverse environments

  • Affinity to digital teaching tools and content implementation into learning management systems

  • Responsible, self-motivated person able to work independently and as a part of a team

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Intercultural experience and competence

  • Fluency in English, the language of instruction and communication on campus
