Responsibilities
Participates in an environment rapidly transforming to the Agile methodology, adhering to best practices and collaborating effectively with your teammates.
Collaborates and contributes insight to solution design ideation, ensuring both the success of the product and adherence to enterprise architecture principles.
Designs, modifies, develops and implements software solutions.
Building modern, architecturally sound components, tools and applications to meet mission-driven strategic business goals.
Infuses quality of service characteristics, such as scalability, manageability and maintains, distributed service-based framework to create and expand business and technical capabilities.
Employs industry best practices to evaluate, correct and prevent vulnerabilities during the software development process.
Serves as a peer-leader, encourages a culture of innovation and accountability while adhering to Agile best practices.
Qualifications
Requires a Master’s degree in Software Engineering, or related field, and four (4) years of experience in the role or in a related position.
Full term of experience must include:
Creating and publishing reusable custom frameworks to handle and execute internal business logic and support the development experience using Java, Spring Web, Kafka, Spring Data JPA, Spring Cloud.
Architected scalable, resilient software applications using JAVA based frameworks.
Creating flexible and scalable back-end server systems using Java, multithreading, and streaming, asynchronous operations.
Utilizing the Spring technology stack, including SpringBoot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, Eureka Discovery Server, Zuul API Gateway, Spring JPA, Spring Batch, Spring Security, Spring MVC, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, and JDBC to build resilient and scalable distributed micro services.
Developing SOAP and REST web services using latest versions of Apache CXF, Spring, Spring Boot and Hibernate frameworks.
Utilizing shell scripting languages, including Python, Perl and Bash to create script applications, test scripts, network scripts, and infrastructure scripts.
Utilizing API paradigms, including REST, SOAP.
Utilizing databases paradigms, including Document (DynamoDB), Relations (MySQL, Oracle 11g)
Integrating messaging and data stream systems, including Kafka, RabbitMQ, Red Hat AMQ, Amazon SQS, Amazon SNS, and Active MQ.
Utilizing Amazon Web Services, including EC2, AWS Lambda, RDS, IAM, Elastic Cache, S3, CloudFront, SNS, SQS, SES, CloudWatch, and Route53 to create cloud native microservices on AWS infrastructure.
Creating Terraform scripts to automate the creation of AWS cloud for easier reproduction of the AWS infrastructure across development, test and production environments.
Creating reliable and observable backend Java applications by leveraging Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices.
May telecommute from any U.S. location.
