Dispensing Optician
We have an exciting opportunity for a Dispensing Optician to join our Boots Opticians practice on English Street, Carlisle, on a full-time (37.5 hours), permanent basis.
We welcome applications from both newly qualified and experienced Dispensing Opticians, with excellent opportunities for career development, including CLO progression and Dry Eye training.
The practice:
• 3 testing rooms within a Boots UK store with Hearing Care
• Equipped with OCT, Optomap and 3 Phoropters
• 25-minute testing times
• Recently refitted in 2024, offering a modern working environment
The team:
You’ll be joining an energetic and supportive team of 9, including 2 resident Optometrists and a qualified Dispensing Optician, all working together to deliver excellent patient care in a busy and varied environment.
Working pattern:
• 5 days per week on a rota basis
• Flexibility required to work Saturdays and/or Sundays (not every weekend)
• Occasional opportunity to support nearby stores in Penrith, Kendal or Lancaster

Carlisle offers excellent transport links, with direct access to mainline train services and the motorway network. The store is centrally located with convenient parking available nearby (£4 all day within 5 minutes), making commuting easy.
