Dispensing Optician
We’re looking for a Dispensing Optician to join our Ashton-under-Lyne store, with full-time (37.5 hours) or part-time options available.
The store is a steady practice located in the centre of Ashton town, serving a mixed patient demographic.
The practice is based within a Boots UK store with Hearing Care and has 2 testing rooms with 25-minute testing times.
You’ll be joining a team of 14 colleagues, including 3 resident Optometrists and 1 Pre-Registration Optometrist.
The store was recently refitted in September 2025, providing a modern clinical and retail environment.
Store opening hours are 9:00–17:30, with flexible weekend working required, typically one weekend day.
Newly qualified Dispensing Opticians will be considered, and the team is looking for someone who is keen to become a long-term member of the practice.
The store is well connected by public transport, located close to the tram stop and bus station, with parking available in nearby town centre car parks.
