The Registered Nurse, or LPN, is a member of an interdisciplinary care team. This person is responsible for the safe and efficient dispensing of methadone medication to patients in compliance with federal, state, and accreditation requirements. The hours for this position are Monday, Thursday, and Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The pay range for this role is $41.00 - $45.00 per hour (RN) or $38.00- $42.00 per hour (LPN).
Requirements
• Accurately and efficiently dispenses daily doses of methadone medication, in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Maintain current inventory of medications and medical supplies in secure environment.
• Performs assessments and completes documentation in patient’s electronic record, reporting observations to supervisor.
• Alert treatment staff of any observed changes in patient’s status, including Medical Services Supervisor and Medical Director.
• Maintain daily accurate dispensing and medication records, ensures accuracy of records to avoid medication discrepancies and takes corrective action as required, in consultation with supervisor.
• Completes intakes on new patients and explains the proper use of dispensed medication, its effects, and important treatment guidelines.
• Complies with all THS policies and procedures and performs tasks within scope of practice.
• Coordinates care with internal and external providers to ensure continuity of care of patients.
• Performs TB tests on staff and patients, as needed.
• Performs King County or Snohomish County Jail dosing, as assigned.
• Attend and participate in all scheduled trainings, staff meetings, and treatment meetings, as assigned.
• Floats to other dispensary locations, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
