Responsible for safely assigning appropriate equipment and personnel for completion of duties or deliveries to assure on time and efficient use of resources by dispatching trucks and personnel in a timely manner to ensure the targeted service level and cost.

Typical schedule during production season is Monday - Friday with Saturday as needed.

COMPENSATION:

Wage range is $25.00 - $27.00 per hour depending on experience.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job)

  1. Assigns appropriate equipment and personnel for completion of duties and Building schedules and dispatching the drivers' times.
  2. Directs activities of drivers and confers with customers about trucking needs and shop personnel
  3. May maintain records of expenses and ensure driver's hours worked are turned into payroll for processing
  4. May issue equipment to drivers
  5. Prepares invoices, Billing invoices, and related shipping
  6. Keeps supervisor and drivers informed of tasks and situations so the schedule can be
  7. Tracks and reports time off/attendance of drivers and complete all required information.
  8. Obtains all pertinent information from customer including but not limited to: number of unloading sites; Tank washes, or special deliveries instructions
  9. Verify the order back to the customer to ascertain the accuracy of the Inform the customer of warnings concerning product hazards, load limits, vehicle weights and limitations.
  10. Properly file the order and special instructions and give adequate notice to ensure proper materials are available.
  11. Ask the customer for information regarding upcoming orders so there are no short-notice
  12. Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
  13. Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, ). Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors
  14. Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation
  15. Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (types and extent of knowledge, skills or abilities an incumbent must possess to complete the job responsibilities satisfactorily)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (minimum educational, experience, or other relevant job requirements)

  1. Driver License preferred.
  2. General education, grammar and arithmetic, GED or high school diploma or equivalent.
  3. General Computer Skills. 2 years of experience with Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  4. One year of telephone service or order taking in a business environment.
