This position will be responsible for assisting the Unit Services department by distributing, logging and taking calls from Resort Services, Front Desk, Engineering, and all housekeeping team members reporting unit deficiencies and services needed. The dispatcher will ensure guest requests, service incidents and inventory requests are fulfilled in a timely manner to create a sense of urgency and importance to the experience for our owner and guests by distributing calls to various individuals and following up with completion times. Additional responsibilities include ensuring all units requiring service are scheduled; assisting the opening manager with checking all housekeeping cleans reports and communicating room anomalies, dispatch all communication between the proper personnel via phone or radio, and provide clerical support for the department. This individual will ensure the staff’s commitment to maintaining service expectations through observation, and communication. Other activities include monitoring staff completion times. The Dispatcher will confer with other departments to coordinate and follow up on all guest related issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:

  • Answer phones and radio calls in a timely and friendly manner; log and dispatch all communication of relevant information as required.
  • Follow up on all requests for service or guest/owner concerns and monitor completion times to assure satisfaction.
  • Check daily Housekeeping reports; monitor and update daily sheets to ensure all cleaned units are coded properly.
  • Ensure inventory is accurately tracked.
  • Provide clerical help for the department as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • At least one year of experience in the Hospitality industry and/or dispatch background. Ideal candidate will have hospitality experience preferably within a resort or customer service based environment.
  • Must develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of resort procedures, and operations and ensure communication of relevant information as required.
  • Must possess a sincere dedication to provide an unsurpassed level of owner and guest satisfaction. Must have demonstrated exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate a commitment to the team.
  • Must be able to multitask in a high-pressured environment.
  • Must have some computer and typing skills.
