Under the general supervision, a Dispatcher I receives calls for emergency and non-emergency services by telephone or radio. Proficiently determines the nature and seriousness of the situation, utilizing their one year of professional emergency dispatch experience. Obtains the necessary information needed to dispatch appropriate resources including, but not limited to, University Police, Campus Security, Fire and
EMS and any other Public Safety entities.

Must obtained and be current on all EMD, CPR, BCI, POST Certifications, ICS 100, 200, 700, 800.
Must have worked as a 911 Dispatcher or a Dispatcher I for at least 1 professional year.
Must demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of Police, Medical and Security duties.
Will work rotating shifts and hours, and work weekends and holidays.
