
-Assist the Transportation Manager with 24-hours phone coverage as needed. This includes being "On-call" to cover the phones when needed during the week and weekends.
-Maintains records and file pertinent to DOT requirements; includes equipment registrations and driver qualification files; Notifies drivers of expiration of medical cards and Commercial driver license.
-Assist in maintaining records/files pertinent to the dept and company.
-Perform routine clerical work as assigned to maintain the dept records keeping (i.e. drivers' log, inspection reports, fuel usage, etc.).
-Maybe assigned to perform additional duties of various functions of the transportation dept. such as picking up or delivering drivers to units at repair facilities, picking up parts for company vehicles.
