Are you a problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We're looking for a dependable and organized Dispatcher to help keep our transportation operations running safely and efficiently. In this role, you will coordinate daily bus operations, support drivers and monitors, and serve as a key communication link between our team and customers.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate daily routing and scheduling to ensure on-time service delivery.
• Dispatch buses and provide timely support and route information to drivers.
• Monitor service performance and address operational issues as they arise.
• Handle high-volume phone and radio communications.
• Support and coach drivers and monitors regarding service and operational concerns.
• Receive and resolve scheduling, service, and driver-related issues or escalate them as needed.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and contracted clients.
• Assist with payroll processing, driver scheduling, licensing compliance, and hiring activities as needed.
• Identify and resolve student pick-up and drop-off concerns.
• Provide backup driving support when required.
• Complete administrative and clerical tasks related to transportation operations.
• Ensure daily operations comply with company policies, contract requirements, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Assist management with special projects and operational initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the transportation industry.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to learn and use transportation software, internet-based systems, and office equipment.
• Ability to work early morning hours and occasional schedule adjustments as business needs require.

Preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous supervisory or management experience.
• Experience in school bus or passenger transportation operations.
• Knowledge of radio dispatch equipment and transportation routing practices.
• CDL with applicable endorsements, or the ability to obtain one.
