Job Description

The candidate should have logistical experience, a clean driving record, and a strong understanding of the delivery area. This role requires regular interaction with drivers to ensure all orders are delivered within required delivery windows.

Orders are often time-sensitive and may be delivered to schools, churches, funeral homes, businesses, or residential locations, requiring a high level of accuracy and urgency.

The Dispatcher is responsible for conducting daily checks of company vans to ensure they are in good working condition and free of damage. This role also requires making deliveries when not actively dispatching or assisting within the facility.

The Dispatcher must monitor driver routes throughout the day to ensure compliance with delivery procedures, including verifying that delivery photos are taken and confirmations are properly updated for both morning and evening routes.

Additionally, the Dispatcher is responsible for completing all required reports related to the role and must be flexible to work extended hours during peak seasons and holidays.

Responsibilities & Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time

• Dispatch drivers and ensure routes are optimized efficiently
• Verify that all required attachments are included with orders before drivers leave the facility
• Deliver orders as needed when not actively dispatching
• Maintain accurate maintenance records for all company vans and ensure all required maintenance is completed in a timely manner
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure
• Strong communication skills

Schedule & Flexibility

• Must be flexible and willing to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays

Additional Duties

• Assist in other departments as needed, including:
• Boxing arrangements
• Cutting flowers
• Supporting operations
• Receive vendor deliveries as needed

Physical & Compliance Requirements

• Ability to lift 25–50 pounds
• Must comply with all FDA standards

Qualifications

Qualifications & Requirements

• Oversee all Drivers, including both employee drivers and contract drivers
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bilingual ability is a plus, but not required
• Strong math skills with the ability to follow and provide clear directions to ensure tasks are completed efficiently
• Strong attention to detail

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Ability to work in both hot and cold temperatures for extended periods of time
• Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods
• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs as needed
• Must wear closed-toe footwear at all times
• Willingness to support and assist in other departments as needed
• Ability to receive deliveries from vendors and inspect products for quality and freshness

The expected hourly pay range for this position is $19.00 to $20.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other factors permitted by law.
