Location: 8470 Keele Street, Concord, ON
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Shift: Continental Day Shift
Expected Salary: $50,000 – $65,000 Range
The salary range shown above reflects the expected compensation for this position. The final salary offered will be determined based on a holistic assessment of the candidate’s experience, education, training, and alignment with the role’s requirements.

CMI sources and processes recycled ferrous and non-ferrous metals across North America and ensure they do not end up in a landfill or go to waste. Our recycling stream ensures that all the ferrous and non-ferrous metals that enter our yards will create something new again!
Here’s where you come in…
As CMI continues to grow, we are seeking a passionate, organized, and enthusiastic Dispatcher to join our Transportation and Fleet team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan efficient daily truck routes, maximize truck utilization, and schedule same-day routes based on customer requirements
• Monitor and update real-time pick-up requests and review previous schedules to address any issues or concerns
• Respond to phone and emails requests and queries in a timely manner
• Monitor customer cameras and schedule pick-ups accordingly
• Follow driver runs and address any concerns or issues that arise
• Liaise with traders regarding customer concerns and resolve
• Complete daily transportation and fleet checklists
• Liaise with drivers regarding any accidents and take appropriate action
• Review driver logs/inspection reports for any items or concerns that may require repair
• Ensure all tasks are completed in a safe manner in compliance with regulatory, legislative guidelines and company health and safety policies and procedures

Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
• High School Graduate
• Post-secondary education in Logistics/Operators is an asset
• A minimum of three year of dispatching experience
• Knowledge of WHMIS, Spill Response and Environmental and Quality Policy is an asset.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other related software
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic computations required to calculate weights/deductions
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong task prioritization skills
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Working Conditions while performing the job:
• The position is performed in an office environment.
