Job Summary:

The Dispatcher Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of dispatchers to ensure the seamless coordination of service technicians for timely and efficient service delivery. This role involves supervising the dispatch process, prioritizing service calls, and maintaining clear communication between technicians, customers, and internal departments.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of dispatchers, ensuring effective communication, scheduling, and coordination of service calls.
  • Oversee the dispatch process, assigning and prioritizing service requests to technicians based on skill sets, proximity, and workload, optimizing efficiency and response times.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service-related issues, providing resolution and maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock of parts and materials for technicians to complete service calls.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations, enhance service delivery, and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Develop and implement efficient dispatching strategies and workflows to improve overall service efficiency.
  • Create and analyze reports to track key performance indicators, such as response times, completion rates, and customer feedback.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to dispatchers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulations related to HVAC systems and dispatch operations.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to prepare and assign routes.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Basic understanding of geographical area and mapping programs to facilitate efficient routing.
  • Proficiency in using dispatching software and familiarity with HVAC systems and terminology, like Service Titan.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Transportation, Logistics, or related field preferred.
  • At least three years of related experience and execution of similar duties in warehouse/freight operations required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
