Location: Kwajalein

Job Summary:

The Dispatcher is responsible for the daily operation of the Security/Police Desk located at the Kwajalein Central Patrol Station and Roi-Namur Security Detachment. The job description below is not all inclusive of the dispatcher’s duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Staff the Security/Police desk 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including holidays
  • Maintain Daily Activity Journal
  • Maintain Military Police Journal
  • Dispatch Security and DACP
  • Answer 911 calls
  • Dispatch medical and fire personnel
  • Monitor IDS Alarm System
  • Monitor C-sUAS station when installed and active
  • Dispatch appropriate personnel to locations of IDS alarm activations
  • Complete detailed incident reports when required

Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have an active U.S. Secret Clearance
  • Possess 911 Communications Certification or ability to obtain
  • Emergency Medical Dispatch Certification
  • Must have completed a 40-hour basic telecommunicator program such as those approved by Association of Public Safety Communication Officials (APOC), International Academy of Emergency Dispatchers (IAED), Department of Defense (DOD), PowerPhone or states equivalent
  • Ability to pass a medical screening include drug test

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior Police/EMS Dispatch, military or civilian, experience is preferred

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:

  • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
  • Work involves prolonged keyboard and monitor usage
