Job Description

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6pm-2:30am

Compensation: $25.60

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates the activities of dispatchers engaged in the movement, storage and shipping

product in order to ensure that pickups and deliveries are in an efficient and timely

manner.

  • Confers with supervisors/managers to coordinate warehouse activities and dispatch

activities.

  • Schedules Inbound (Lives and Drops).
  • Creates daily Inbound Sheet.
  • Tracks inbound shipments.
  • Provides O11s and 7pts for the security team.
  • Sends empty trailer list to carriers.
  • Notifies carriers of trailers needing repairs.
  • Audits receivers for CTPAT compliance.
  • Identifies railcars.
  • TFIN/Schedule railcars.
  • Fills out rail 7pts/ verify seals.
  • Releases railcars via CSX website.
  • Enters all HD loads in the system by 11am.
  • Monitors HD carriers and coordinates pick-up times.
  • Creates HD spreadsheet.
  • Schedules and processes Amazon orders.
  • Enters RPS orders / bills in IDS, CICS.
  • Schedules and processes all Walmart orders (leaving paperwork and labels organized.)
  • Runs daily GATM report.
  • Assists customer with any missing paperwork or labels.
  • Confers with transportation team to resolve any carrier issues or questions.
  • Reliable attendance at scheduled shifts.

Customer service needs to be a priority at the Lead level. This includes answering calls, commenting on loads, addressing issues, and ensuring we are meeting GE's expectations.

Yard checks need to be completed daily. This includes identifying empty trailer needs, contacting transportation carriers, and addressing any discrepancies.

Ensure proper staffing is in place and that Gate Associates are held accountable to the facility's standards and expectations.

  • Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or needed.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Experience: Two (2) years related experience preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Intermediate personal computer skills including electronic mail, word

processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. Strong working knowledge of MS Office to include

Outlook, Excel, and Word. Ability to master internal computer systems.

  • Certificates & Licenses: Valid State Driver’s License; Forklift Certification

  • Paperwork - Completion - Ability to complete necessary paperwork neatly and accurately

and according to established guidelines. Properly count, document or scan the number of

units as needed by the function that is being performed.

  • Paperwork - Verification - Ability to verify paperwork necessary to ensure inventory count

is correct.
