The company offers the opportunity to those who wish to express interest in the position of “Dispatch Controller” for its premises in Chalkidiki. The position will report to the Dispatch Operations Lead of the Mine Operations Department, based in Olympias.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Recording and updating information related to personnel and shift progress in real-time.
  • Develop and implement dispatch plans and schedules, adjusting as required to meet production goals.
  • Monitor active mining fronts, coordinate equipment, materials, and personnel, and report issues to engineers or foremen.
  • Collect, record, and supervise equipment operational data via dispatch and SCADA, and troubleshoot basic system issues.
  • Provide clear instructions and updates to personnel, maintain continuous communication and collaboration with support departments.
  • Supervise critical points in the mine and promptly report technical issues.
  • Respond to emergency safety incidents according to established procedures.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of activities, equipment use, and incidents, and prepare shift reports.
  • Implement best practices, quality control measures, and achieve KPIs, goals, and objectives.
  • Daily use and proper care of PPE and supervision of equipment operation (e.g., pumps, fans, tanks).
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the shift.
  • Ensure continuous control room coverage, with shift rotation and variable hours as required.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor or operations management.
  • Overall shift management, overseeing performance, team collaboration, and decision-making support.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geoscience, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology Engineering, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in mining operations, production line, logistics, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a dispatch or coordination role is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of mining operations, equipment, and/or dispatch systems.
  • Understanding safety regulations and best practices in mining.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and workforce motivation skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with team members and stakeholders, and handle conflict resolution and negotiation.
  • Proficiency in dispatch software and systems (e.g., Mining Art, Modular Mining, MineStar, Wenco).
  • Analytical, problem-solving, continuous learning, and adaptability skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
  • Driver’s license.
  • Rotating shifts (24/7) under labor legislation framework.
