Dispatchers assure timely pick-ups and deliveries to internal and external customers. They dispatch and coordinate orders with Couriers, MNX’s Service Partners, and vendors to ensure the retrieval and delivery of shipments.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Proactively communicate with customer service and operations to resolve issues that may arise with a driver’s work assignment.

  • Understand customer requirements on each order, and ensure dispatch aligns with customer requirements.

  • Make same-day load acceptance decisions based on current driver capacity in a market.

  • Assign drivers to jobs as required and according to priority guidelines.

  • Communicate with outside carrier companies and company drivers on daily direction and schedules.

  • Maintain and develop positive business relationships with a customer's key personnel involved in or directly relevant to a logistics activity.

  • Develop an understanding of customers' needs and take actions to ensure that such needs are met.

  • Communicate and explain proposed logistical solutions to customers, management, or other interested parties.

  • Provide team activities by establishing task priorities, scheduling and tracking work assignments, providing guidance, and ensuring the availability of resources.

  • Assesses ready time, pick-up location, routing, commitment time, delivery location, and any specific pick-up/delivery.

  • Collect all equipment from couriers and ensure no packages are left in company vans. tickets/faxes.

  • Ensure the dispatch office and working area are clean and organized.

  • Constant communication with the dispatch team on any delays or issues with assigned jobs.

  • Place energy and efforts in rendering customer satisfaction.

  • Assist co-workers; turn over any incomplete work requiring follow-up to other supervisors before the shift ends.

  • Report operation status and flagged issues periodically to management.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school or GED required.

  • Proficient in computer skills in Microsoft applications and an aptitude to learn internal systems.

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Transportation experience in dispatch and/or operations supervision is a plus.

  • Detail-oriented with an ability to positively influence others across multiple groups.

  • An ability to work independently, relying on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish tasks.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of electronic transportation platforms and software is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $22.30 per hour to $27.00 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate’s work experience.

Pay Range:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $22.75/hr to $37.00/hr. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate’s work experience. Hired applicants are offered annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs, subject to applicable eligibility requirements. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
