We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate and dispatch shipments efficiently and accurately. This position plays a vital role in the order-fulfillment process by ensuring timely pickups and deliveries, monitoring service activities, and maintaining accurate records. The Dispatcher also serves as a key point of contact for escalated issues and may provide training and certification for dispatch associates.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (must be available all 5 days)
Shift: 40 hours per week
Hours: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Shift Duration: 8 hours per day (flexibility with start and end times required)
Location: 4150 Mainway, Burlington, ON L7L 0A6
Compensation: $21.42 CAD per hour
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and monitor service order activities to ensure timely dispatch and delivery.
Update and maintain reports and dispatch records as required.
Track inbound and outbound equipment, documenting departure times, destinations, cargo details, and expected return times.
Monitor scheduled versus actual equipment usage, addressing discrepancies as necessary.
Investigate and follow up on overdue shipments.
Serve as a Senior Dispatcher, providing training and certification for dispatch associates.
Receive and resolve escalated dispatch issues, proposing solutions and escalating to higher management when appropriate.
Work with enterprise dispatching systems to support efficient order-fulfillment operations.
Should be able to lift 50 lbs without assistance
Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent required
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer service and/or dispatch within transportation, distribution, or order-fulfillment industries.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Reliable transportation is required as limited bus service is available in the evenings.
