Job Description

Maintains kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition by performing the following key job functions.

HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY

• Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashingmachine.

• Cleans and restocks service bar area with glassware.

• Washes pots, pans, andtrays.

• Sweeps and mops kitchenfloors.

• Washs worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meatblocks.

• Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designatedcontainers.

• Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans and floormats.

• Sorts bottles and breaks disposable ones in bottle crushingmachine.

• Polishes silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and handcloth.

• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and workareas.

• Will abide by all safety requirements as outlined in the Safety Manual or as required by individual departments and/or jobfunctions.

• Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Proficient in English verbal and written.
• Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Less than high school education, or up to one- month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Be gracious towards all guests and co-workers. Have an outgoing and enthusiastic attitude.
• Promote a positive influence in the community and company sponsored events.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds.
• Able to read a limited number of two- three- syllable words and recognize similarities and differences. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Able to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively .
• Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period.
• Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a license from the Indiana Horse Racing Commission.
