Job Description

Job Purpose:

The dishwasher position works under the direction of the Stewarding Supervisor and the culinary leadership team to ensure the cleanliness of all kitchen work areas, equipment and facilities are in order. This position will operate and maintain under the strict confidentiality of all Club business.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  1. Supports the team with day-to-day operations in stewarding areas.
  2. Ensures that all assigned work areas and related equipment are maintained at the highest level of cleanliness and sanitation standards while maintaining compliance with all Club and department policies and procedures, as well as all State and Federal guidelines.
  3. Follow the Food and Beverage Hygiene Sanitation Standards set for by CHCC.
  4. Ensures the highest level of products and services are in place to supply all kitchen and production areas with clean, correct, and timely mise-en-place.
  5. Ensures that all dish washing, and related equipment are well maintained and operated according to standard and monitors water temperatures and chemical levels for cleaning.
  6. Assist Chefs and FOH staff with setting food buffets during parties and events by pulling all necessary equipment and utensils required.
  7. Ensure Back of House areas are maintained to the highest cleanliness standards and cleaning schedules are followed and completed.
  8. Collects trash from kitchen areas; empties garbage barrels, washes and re-lines garbage barrels with new bags. Checks for and retrieves silverware, dishes and glassware from garbage receptacles.
  9. Sweeps and mops kitchen floors; properly indicates hazardous areas due to damp or slippery floor surfaces.
  10. Stores all dishes and other wares in proper areas. Maintains proper storage for all OS&E throughout the day.
  11. Cleans dishwashing machine after each meal period and/or in accordance with established guidelines.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Transport and set up of kitchen equipment, china, glassware, silver and serving pieces as needed.
  • Assists with the cleaning and polishing of silverware and silver service on a weekly schedule.
  • Performs all other duties deemed by management to be an integral part of the job.

Requirements

Qualifications (required unless stated otherwise)

Skills/Knowledge/Attributes:

  • Good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Knowledge of Food and Beverage Product Specification utilized in front and back of the house areas.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Experience/Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in the commercial food service industry preferred.
  • Basic Food and Hygiene training certification and/or Serve Safe certification preferred

Required License(s):

  • Possess a valid driver’s license and/or successfully completes the Club’s internal motor vehicle training program

Compensation & Benefits:

This position is full-time offered at $20 per hour. Full-time eligible employees will be offered health benefits (including medical, dental, vision, Life & disability etc.), 401(k) after waiting period, seven paid holidays, paid vacation, and sick pay (after meeting eligibility waiting period.)

Most recently the Club hosted the 2014 BMW Championship that included the top 70 professional golfers in the world. The tournament was named PGA Tournament of the Year for the 3rd year and raised $3.5MM for the Evans Scholarship Fund.

The Club hosted the 1960 US Open which many golf historians consider to be one of golf's best ever tournaments that produced Arnold Palmer's only US Open win against the likes of Jack Nicklaus and Ben Hogan. Palmer stormed back on the final round making birdie on 6 of the first 7 holes and with Ben Hogan's bogey on 17 & 18 Palmer won his first and only US Open.

In addition to premier playing conditions for golf the Club provides spectacular Food and Beverage with patio dining overlooking the majestic rocky mountains. Additionally, the Club has a seasonal pool operation and a formidable tennis program with 6 hard courts and 2 clay courts.

The Clubhouse was designed by Burnham and Merrill Hoyt who also won acclaims for designing Red Rocks Amphitheatre just west of Denver along with the Denver Press Club, the original Children's Hospital and the Denver Public Library.
