The Full-Time Dishwasher supports safe and uninterrupted restaurant operations by maintaining clean dishes, cookware,

equipment and sanitation areas. This role also completes assigned cleaning duties throughout the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently. Wash and sanitize cookware, utensils, trays, dishes and kitchen tools.  Maintain a clean, organized and safe dishwashing area.  Remove garbage, recycling and compost as required.  Sweep and mop kitchen, service, dining and storage areas according to cleaning schedules.  Clean and restock washrooms and sanitize high-touch surfaces.  Support daily and scheduled deep-cleaning duties throughout the restaurant.  Assist with basic non-cooking kitchen and restocking duties as directed. Handle cleaning products safely and follow WHMIS and food-safety procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

 Previous dishwashing, sanitation, janitorial or restaurant experience is an asset but not required.  Strong attention to cleanliness, safety and detail.  Ability to follow cleaning schedules, instructions and chemical-safety procedures.  Ability to work efficiently in a wet, warm and fast-paced kitchen environment.  Reliable attendance, punctuality and weekend availability. WHMIS and Food Handler certification are assets; required training will be provided or arranged.

Working Conditions

This onsite position involves extended standing, repetitive hand and arm movement, frequent bending and reaching,

exposure to water and cleaning products, and lifting and carrying up to 60 pounds. The employee must be able to work

safely around hot equipment, food products, cleaning materials and commercial kitchen operations. A three-month

probationary period applies.
