Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Ensure all kitchen items are cleaned and stored in their designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors, including storage and preparation areas.
• Remove garbage, recycling, and compost and transport it to designated disposal areas.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as required.
• Maintain adequate supplies of cleaning products and notify supervisors when inventory is low.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Support kitchen staff with basic cleaning and preparation tasks as assigned.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to management immediately.
• Assist with banquet and event breakdowns, ensuring all service ware is promptly cleaned and returned to inventory.

Qualifications

• Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience is an asset but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as required.
