What You’ll Do

Our dishwashers keep the whole kitchen running and grow their skills over time. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Dish & ware washing. Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, doughnut trays, pans, utensils, and small wares by hand and machine, batch after batch.
• Kitchen sanitation. Keep sinks, the dish machine, floors, and work areas clean, sanitized, and food-safe throughout the shift.
• Stocking & flow. Return clean wares to stations fast so bakers and baristas never wait — keep the line moving during the rush.
• Trash & recycling. Empty, break down, and haul trash and recycling, and keep the back-of-house clutter-free.
• Deep cleaning. Support opening and closing routines and periodic deep-cleaning of hoods, shelves, equipment, and storage areas.
• Cleanliness & safety. Follow all health, sanitation, and safety standards, and handle cleaning chemicals correctly.
• Teamwork. Communicate clearly, jump in where you’re needed, and help the next shift start strong.

What You Bring

• Work ethic. A dependable, hard-working attitude — no task is beneath a great teammate.
• Care & detail. Genuine pride in a clean, organized space and an eye for the spots others miss.
• Pace. Ability to stay steady and quick when it’s busy and the dishes are stacking up.
• Reliability. Dependable, on time, and ready for early or flexible shifts.
• Physical readiness. Comfortable standing for full shifts and lifting or moving racks, bins, and equipment, often wet.
• Standards. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation (or willingness to get certified). No experience required — we’ll train you.

Compensation & Growth

At Sidecar, your pay grows as your skills do. The more you learn, the more you earn. Starting pay varies by location and follows the local market.

• Start strong. New team members begin at minimum wage (by location) with full, hands-on training.
• Earn tips. Once you’re trained on two skills, you become eligible to share in tips.
• Earn raises. Learn additional skills and stations, and your hourly base pay increases.
• Grow into more. The dish pit is a launchpad — cross-train into prep and baking, or front-of-house roles like server and barista, and grow toward leadership.

Compensation: $17.75 - $18.55 per hour
