Schedule: Part Time, 24 hrs. a week, 12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Variable days and Every other Weekend.
Join our Nutrition Services team at Corewell Health and make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families by participating in all aspects of patient meal service. This includes answering phones in the call center, assembling patient trays, cleaning and sanitizing dishes and equipment, delivering and picking up meal trays, and managing stock. Communication and collaboration with other team members are essential to ensure continuity of service and help foster a positive work environment. No experience is required - you will be fully trained and supported and can grow and learn new skills to develop your career.
Operate and clean industrial dishwashing equipment according to facility and manufacturer guidelines.
Wash, sanitize, store, and restock departmental dishware, cookware, and serving equipment.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized dish room, including routine cleaning of floors, drains, walls, ceilings, sinks, and pulper equipment.
Retrieve soiled dish racks and trays from patient units and soiled utility rooms throughout the Hospital.
Empty trash and transport waste and recycling to designated disposal areas.
Crosstrain and assist in multiple areas, including dishwashing, pot and pan washing, stocking, and drying.
Assist with patient meal tray assembly and delivery as operational needs require.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, infection prevention, and PPE guidelines.
Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork to support daily department operations.
Communicate effectively and efficiently via work iPhones and ipads.
