Discovery Intern

We are the Lavazza HR Talent Acquisition Team and we’re looking for a Discovery Intern to join our Food R&D Discovery Team at our Innovation Center in Turin.

The selected candidate, in collaboration with the tutor, will support the Discovery Team in exploring innovative product concepts and emerging opportunities within the Food & Beverage sector.

Working alongside the Discovery team and collaborating with different R&D functions, the intern will contribute to innovation projects while developing practical experience in product development, consumer trends analysis, and experimental activities.ù

📊 Your main activities will include:

• Support the scouting and analysis of emerging market, consumer and food trends
• Contribute to the development of innovative product concepts and new business opportunities
• Assist in laboratory trials, product testing and proof-of-concept activities
• Support project management activities across different R&D stakeholders, including Packaging, Systems & Machines and external partners
• Collect, organize and present project findings, insights and recommendations to the team

💡 Who we’re looking for:

• You’re available for a six-month internship with full-time commitment. Starting date: September 2026
• You’ll be fluent in Italian and English
• You have a Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering or related disciplines
• You are passionate about innovation, new food trends and product development
• You have good analytical skills and are comfortable working with Excel and PowerPoint
• You are curious, proactive and eager to work in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment
