Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for a Discharge Registered Nurse* to ensure safe and efficient transitions of care for medically cleared patients from hospital to home. The discharge nurse identifies patients who meet criteria for a safe discharge and facilitates the process and communicates with all departments as needed to maximize efficiency and workflow to accommodate safe patient discharges.

Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.

Availability: Twenty-four (24) hour responsibility, on-call and call-back may be required.

License: Must possess and maintain Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.
Experience: One (1) year of full-time equivalent experience as a licensed Registered Nurse.
Certification: Must possess and maintain an Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
The ideal candidate will possess experience as a Discharge Registered Nurse in an acute care hospital.
