Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Disaster Recovery Product Owner. This is a Hybrid-Remote role and can be based out of our location in Beachwood,OH or Pittsburgh, PA. Relocation benefits are available from within the United States!
The expected annual salary range for this role is $113000 - $165000 a year.

This position is responsible for increasing the Enterprise Disaster Recovery maturity by creating, prioritizing, and managing the product backlog.
The Product Owner will own Disaster Recovery for Infrastructure Services as an enterprise product capability across Eaton’s hybrid cloud, on prem, and SaaS environments, in accordance with policy and governance defined by Cyber Security. This role is accountable for defining the DR product strategy and roadmap, translating business resilience requirements into prioritized product outcomes, planning and executing DR tests across the enterprise, and ensuring DR capabilities (architecture, tooling, testing, data, and remediation) deliver measurable value to the enterprise.
The Product Owner partners closely with DR Policy and Governance, Architecture, Delivery, and product teams to evolve a scalable, testable, and auditable DR capability aligned with Eaton’s resilience, risk, and regulatory objectives.
Job Responsibilities
PRODUCT STRATEGY & VISION
- Own the enterprise DR product vision and strategy spanning on prem, hybrid, and multi cloud environments.
- Partner with Cyber to define what “good” looks like for DR maturity at Eaton by tier, platform, and business criticality.
- Translate business continuity, risk, regulatory, and executive resilience requirements into clear DR product outcomes.
- Maintain the long term DR product roadmap, balancing foundational capability, risk reduction, automation, and innovation.
- Develops and maintains product-specific persona and customer journeys
- Support establishment of product processes (e.g., release schedule) and support process improvement activities across product processes (Lean, Agile, Scrum, DevSecOps, etc.)
BACKLOG & PRIORITIZATION
- Own and prioritize the enterprise product backlog, decomposing work into epics and user stories
- DR capabilities and features (runbooks, automation, tooling, metrics
- Resiliancy Management Platform (data integrations, reporting capabilities, feature functionality)
- Testing and assurance capabilities
- Test coordination, data collection, reporting, evidence requirements, and after-action reports
- Make tradeoff decisions between speed, scope, risk reduction, and technical debt
- Ensure backlog alignment with DR Program execution plans and remediation demands
CROSS-TEAM LEADERSHIP & ALIGNMENT
- Act as the single accountable product owner across Cyber Security, DR Architecture and Delivery, DR Tooling & Data, DR Testing & Assurance, and DR Projects and remeidation work
- Partner with application, infrastructure, cloud, security, and BCM leaders to ensure DR requirements are embedded early in designs, align recovery strategies with platform capabilities, and standardize expectations across lines of business
- Serve as the escalation point for priority conflicts impacting enterprise recoverability
- Provide oversight and direction to team managing the technical and operational functions within DR
- Support the onboarding of internal and external resources
ENABLEMENT & CONTINUIOUS IMPROVEMENT
- Champion standardization and reuse through reference architectures, templates, and automation patterns.
- Influence adoption of automation-first and “testability by design” principles.
- Drive continuous feedback loops from tests, incidents, and audits into backlog refinement.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and approaches (e.g., advanced orchestration, chaos testing, continuous verification) for product fit.
