Fire Cleaning & Restoration Technician


Are you detail‑oriented, dependable, and motivated to help people rebuild after a disaster? Join our team as a Fire Cleaning & Restoration Technician, where you’ll balance hands‑on physical work with documentation tasks to support high-quality restoration services and project coordination.

What You’ll Do

Field & Physical Restoration Work

  • Perform fire and smoke damage cleaning in homes and businesses including cleaning, fogging, packing, and organizing
  • Clean structural materials, contents, walls, ceilings, and surfaces affected by soot
  • Lift, move, and pack out contents safely and efficiently
  • Operate cleaning tools and equipment
  • Assist with deodorization and environmental cleaning procedures

Clerical & Organizational Work

  • Photograph, inventory, and document contents
  • Record cleaning steps, materials used, and job progress in SERVPRO software
  • Organize contents for pack-out, storage, and return
  • Communicate with crew leads and office staff to ensure accurate job files
  • Maintain clean, organized workspaces and supply areas

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.
  • Evaluate and perform restoration activities including but not limited to, water extraction, fire damages, set-up of specialty equipment, and demolition.
  • Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project.
  • Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.
  • Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.
  • Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean-up


Position Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to work occasional on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
  • IICRC certification is a plus.


Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
  • Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
  • Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.

Compensation: $19.00 - $26.00 per hour
