About Connecting Families:

Connecting Families has provided essential support to children, young people, and adults nationwide for over a decade. We are committed to being industry leaders in providing best practice services and supports that embody our CARE values.

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker professionals to provide support to our clients in Paramatta NSW. A reminder that this role is casual and must be flexible to do any shift including active nights and can start immediately.

About you:

  • Demonstrated experience in supporting clients with complex mental behaviours including drug addiction, physical aggression, abscondment etc.
  • Must be available to work across a rotating roster including weekdays, sleepovers and weekend shifts
  • Ability to manage difficult situations and behaviours and be able to de-escalate these situations in a therapeutic way

Requirements:

  • Minimum nationally accredited completion of Certificate III in relevant Disability or Community Service field
  • At least three (3) years of related Support work experience
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Employee Working with Children Check
  • A valid Australian driver’s license with a reliable and comprehensively insured car
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
