Job Description

Female Disability Support Workers Needed – Complex Mental Health Support (Urgent Start)

Location: Caboolture QLD

Employment Type: Casual

Start Date: Immediate / Urgent Start

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering person-centred, trauma-informed support to a female participant with Schizoaffective Disorder
  • Supporting emotional regulation and mental wellbeing
  • Assisting with daily routines, structure, and life skills
  • Monitoring mental health changes and following support plans
  • Implementing behaviour support and de-escalation strategies
  • Maintaining professional boundaries and consistency
  • Accurate progress notes and incident reporting

About You:

  • Proven experience supporting complex mental health or psychosocial disability
  • Calm, patient, and emotionally resilient
  • Strong communication and observation skills
  • Confident following behaviour support plans

Essential Requirements:

  • Certificate III or higher in Disability, Mental Health, or Individual Support
  • Yellow card and Blue card
  • Current First Aid & CPR
  • Valid Australian driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
