We are currently seeking committed experienced Support Professionals who are full of enthusiasm & beaming with energy, who are exceptional communicators, willing to go the extra mile, have a great understanding of individual supports, who love going on adventures and are passionate in providing dignified support care!

This role provides rostered shifts that ensure stability and the opportunity to provide genuine impact with our clients. We are currently looking for Support Professionals to assist with daily living with participants across the - Ormiston Region.

We're currently looking for people who have a strong disability support background with experience in Restrictive and behavior experience

  • Assist people to live as independently as possible in their own home and in the community, remove barriers and engage in a full life;
  • Personal care including continence care, mealtime management, helping people shower, getting dressed and performing daily activities, laundry etc.
  • Assisting with light housework;
  • Providing social support to people with disabilities and people experiencing mental health;
  • Assist people with physical and psycho-social disabilities to remain independent in their own homes;
  • Supporting clients to appointments in the community.
  • Providing therapy assistance to support the implementation of physical, speech, OT and psychological plans and strategies (as directed by their allied health teams)
  • Supporting people to develop and build self-confidence;
  • Reviewing and updating care support plans

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Current QLD Driver’s License
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Current Yellow Card/NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Compulsory Comprehensive Insurance on private vehicle
  • NDIS Orientation Certificate or ability to obtain.
  • Multiple Sclerosis Experience
  • Dementia Experience
  • Complex Behaviour Experience
  • Mental Health Experience
  • Personal Care Experience
  • Currently located in the Sunshine Coast

Desirable

    Certificate IV in Disability or higher
    Experience supporting people with disabilities or complex needs
    Training in positive behaviour support or mental health
    Manual handling and medication training
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    Experience with NDIS systems and documentation

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville.
