Your Role & Our Clients

In this rewarding role, you will provide high-quality support for two courageous male clients with the following conditions:

Male 1 21 years old with an Unspecified Anxiety Disorder, Mild Intellectual Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder (Level 3), ADHD, PTSD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Conduct Disorder, and Intermittent Explosive Disorder.

Male 2: 24 years old with Right-Side Spastic Hemiplegia Cerebral Palsy, Anxiety, and Mild Intellectual Disability.

Your role will involve providing tailored, consistent support to enhance their wellbeing, independence, and quality of life, directly contributing to their overall care.

Key Responsibilities

Individual & Shared Support

Provide support for two participants within a single shift

Balance care duties while maintaining individual dignity and attention

Be prepared to manage complex behaviors with compassion and professionalism

Communication & Emotional Support

Understand and respond to emotional and behavioral needs, utilizing both verbal and non-verbal techniques

Build trust and connection with each participant to enhance their emotional well-being

Mobility & Personal Care

Assist with mobility needs, transfers, and aid with right-side weakness (for Male 2)

Deliver respectful, person-centered care in personal hygiene and daily routines

Mental Health & Wellbeing

Provide reassurance, structure, and assistance to manage anxiety

  • Support the development of skills and confidence through participation in various activities

Daily Living Support

Promote independence in daily routines and activities

Assist with community access and foster social inclusion

About You

You’re an experienced professional with a genuine passion for making a difference. You bring:

  • 2+ years in Disability Support, Aged Care, or NDIS support
  • Experience in supporting multiple clients simultaneously
  • Confidence in managing shifts across the day, evening, overnight, and weekends
  • A calm, patient demeanor in emotionally complex or high-stress situations
  • Strong knowledge of cerebral palsy, anxiety, mild intellectual disability, and complex mental health needs

Essential Requirements

  • Certificate III in Disability Support
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (current or willing to obtain)
  • Working With Children Check (Employee - NSW)
  • National Police Clearance (issued within the last 12 months)
  • First Aid & CPR Certification
  • Australian Driver’s License + Reliable, insured vehicle
