Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Female Disability Support Worker to provide quality, person centred support in Kanwal, NSW.

About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and professional support to a participant within their home and community. You will work closely with the participant, their family, and the wider support team to promote independence, wellbeing, and community inclusion.

This role would suit a support worker who is patient, reliable, and passionate about delivering high quality care and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver person centred support in accordance with individual support plans
  • Assist with personal care and activities of daily living
  • Support community access, social engagement, and recreational activities
  • Promote participant choice, independence, and skill development
  • Maintain accurate progress notes and documentation
  • Follow all policies, procedures, and NDIS Practice Standards
  • Communicate effectively with families, coordinators, and allied health professionals

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Disability, Community Services, Individual Support, or a related qualification
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Current Australian Driver Licence and reliable vehicle
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Highly Desirable

  • Experience supporting participants with ASD Level 3 highly regarded, but not essential
  • Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support practices
  • Previous experience working within the NDIS sector
