Job Description

Summary:

As a Disability Support Worker in Logan Central, Queensland, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. This temporary, casual position requires a compassionate and dedicated individual who can provide support and assistance in daily activities, fostering independence and promoting well-being. Your contributions will be essential in creating a supportive environment that empowers clients to achieve their personal goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Support clients in accessing community resources and participating in social activities.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and other support staff.
  • Document client progress and report any changes in behaviour or health to the appropriate personnel.
  • Implement individual care plans and adapt support strategies as needed to meet clients' changing needs.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or in the social care sector is preferred.
  • A relevant qualification in disability support, community services, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and their families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
