About the Role

The Disability Support Leader (Team Leader) will lead a team of Disability Support Workers, you will supervise client service delivery in a 6-bedroom Respite Service in Clarkson with regular community access activities.

To be successful in this role you will have experience supporting people with disability with a range of support needs as well as leadership experience in the disability sector with a focus on strength-based practice and person-centred support.

This is a permanent full-time position based primarily from the respite service in Clarkson with 2 days in our Leederville office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team and provide advice and supervision to achieve positive outcomes
  • Ensure staff are skilled and knowledgeable in the delivery of supports
  • Collaborate, develop and maintain person centred support approaches
  • Manage the running of services including budgets, compliance and staff ratios
  • Collaborate with key business partners to ensure consistent delivery of a positive service
  • Manage, monitor and report on incidents and complaints
  • Participate in an on-call roster

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a leadership position within the delivery of services to people with a disability
  • Diploma in relevant Social & Community Services or relevant experience
  • Current Australian unrestricted Drivers Licence
  • Established influencing and negotiation skills
  • Ability to think creatively and use initiative

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and an NDIS Worker Screening Check.
